shopping for D5

No the D5 is different than the LR4, more comfortable, more gadgets (maybe more things to break), but definitely just a as capable.
My D5 with locking rear diff, keeps up with anything. It does so in extreme comfort, and *knock on wood, reliability.

I have been running a 275/55R20 Cooper Discoverer AT3 XLT for many years and they are durable and capable. mud, snow, rock... they don't seem to care.
I have to run 20" tire because of my brake up grade to a RRS SVR setup. I have an early 2017 that came with the anemic LR4 left over front brakes. They are also also a true 6pot Brembo now.
My D5 2017 Discovery HSE Td6 has been the best SUV I've ever owned. Dealers did replace the windshield other than that it's been fantastic.
