UPDATE: I picked up the vehicle today because I need it over the weekend. I will return it thereafter.

A specialist was in the area and checked the vehicle. All tests are normal. He believes a loose or intermittently ground wire is causing the situation wherein the vehicle may wake up more frequently or may not even go back to sleep.

The specialist recommended more tests be done and if inconclusive, perform the tests at my house because maybe something in the house or in the neighborhood is causing the car to act this way.

UPDATE: In the end, LR finally agreed that the battery was defective and they replaced it.

I have not had any battery problems since then, that is, unitl a week ago (two years after they replaced the battery). The problem is back. I can't leave the LR3 parked for more than two days, otherwise I would have to jump start it.

Just to chime in here, my 06 SE has been left several days without moving, and I've not encountered any issues. I have had the battery replaced once after it was found to be faulty (HDC Fault Errors displaying.) Definitely an interesting problem.
