2003 D2 4.6 SE, 110k
cranks, no start. it would start intermittently often times with a spike of RPM to apx 1500 then it would settle down to apx 750. problem has been going on apx/ 2 months now it sits.
Actions taken:
*no thrown codes
*lock/unlock 4x's
*set inertia switch
*checked fuses, replaced fuel pump relay
*spark present, plugs dry and grey
*replaced CPS
*replaced fuel pump
*checked power to the fuel pump plug with key in on position. See pic
5.12v to thin green/black wire
no power to thin pink/black wire
no power to white/purple
The power to the green/black wire and lack of power to the others remained the same after pulling the fuse and relay. Not sure what to listen for as far as putting my ear to the fuel pump. There is no obvious sound. As far as the electric checks I would guess the white/purple should be hot. I'm not sure these checks were done properly. Not sure what voltage should be at the plug. A search revealed a thread about the inertia switch possibly may be bad.
My mistake was replacing the fuel pump prior to checking power so that may have been a waste of $. Any comments are appreciated!
