Well, it's time for my annual oil change, which just so happens to always come around at almost exactly 7500 miles.
I did a bunch of research and confirmed umbertob's assertion that Mobil1 5W-20 meets the Ford WSS-M2C945-A spec (and others). It would appear that Mobil1 extended performance 5W-20 is the better choice in the Mobil1 family and still available affordably at Walmart, etc.
Anyhow, I've been a sap all along buying the massively overpriced, ebay-sourced Castrol Professional OE 5W-20. However, as they are sold in 6-packs and an oil change takes 8, I first bought 12 (had 4 left), then bought 6 more for the next oil change, and now I have two left. As a result, I am inclined to be a sap one final time and get another 6 pack to complete the 8 needed to do this oil change. This oil change will also take me past my fourth year and the end of the warranty period, so starting September 2017 I can use Mobil1 EP with impunity.
Of course, I could just mix Castrol and Mobil1, but I feel funny about it. Thoughts?
EDIT: I see the stuff on ebay now doesn't have the "OE" part on the description.

But it also has the updated standards listed:
WSS-M2C945-A instead of WSS-M2C925-A, and
GF-5 instead of GF-3
But that has to be the correct oil, right?
