Thanks! Looking forward to following you too.

I actually never looekd at that well storied site, I will have to check it out :)

Go to wellstoried.com/map. The actual map shows no state boundaries so you have to know your geography a bit. Mine shows up in the DC area just west of the Chesapeake Bay, currently one of 11 "stories" in that group. I knew you were in CA so I poked around till I saw your unmistakable (and soon-to-be-named) rig. Very cool. I encourage other forum guys to tag @landroverusa in your online photos and use hashtags such as #wellstoried to get found by LR. You can also submit your photos via the website above.

A couple pics from roving the southwest US

In the first one the La Sal mountains are in the background. Some of you may be able to see where I am.

The second one if from the Big Horn Mountains trail (runs between the Hummingbird and Big Horn Mountain wilderness areas) west of Phoenix. Like a dummy I didn't think to take a picture when crossing a wash where, when I was at the bottom, I had an inch to spare in front and behind. (Actually, my hitch receiver was just starting to drag but it was loose dirt.) Would have been a great example of the importance of good approach and departure angles.

Also should have taken one of the truck yesterday when we were hanging out around Sedona. No pics of the truck. But a couple from the Dry Creek/Vultee Arch trail which we could not have experienced as fully if we hadn't been able to drive back in there with the LR4. One is of the end of the trail near Vultee Arch. The other is of Devil's Bridge - short hike. Being able to get to places like this is precisely why we bought the LR4! (Pretty funny that one of the Pink Jeep Rental guys tried to warn me off of this trail before I started. And a number of hikers asked me whether I was doing "OK" driving "that" all the way back in there. And jacked up - rented - bottomed out as he was coming towards me because he wasn't paying any attention to his line.)

Wow, Dan! That's amazing! :) Beautiful terrain and great story.

I did a bit of off roading this weekend as well and will try to post some photos (once I get them sent to me). For now, I have some photos after I actually washed my truck. It had been 3 months of crusted dirt and mud.

Greetings all, new to the forum. Inspired by all the trucks I've been lurking on here for quite some time.

Picked up my (new to me) 2013 LR4 LUX black out package last year and finally am getting around to post on the forum.

From a quick little trip to Joshua Tree:

Getting rid of these stock 19"s for some Compomotive 18" PD1881's shortly I hope.

I'm in love with this truck. I fill the inside with dogs and strap everything else down on the roof.
