Hello!
I live in a town with no LR dealership, but I'm considering buying an '08 LR2 with only 55K. I am able to get "out and under," but am no mechanical genius. Is it true that only a LR dealership can perform oil changes? And do you have any advice about this particular year LR2?

OK, perhaps those are dumb questions--I read somewhere that only the dealership is supposed to change the oil, but I realize that can't be true. The bottom line is that I am really interested in an LR2, but a) have not owned a Land Rover before, and b) live in a town where there is no dealership. I am about 200 miles from the nearest one. I am looking for advice regarding this purchase from owners--anything you've got toward '08 or '09 models. Thank you.
