I went to the garage and took a couple of photos of my driver's side slider (sorry about the laughable quality, but it's dark in there and the flash ain't doing it any favors) that better illustrates what I think is wrong with yours... As you can see, there is virtually no gap. No visible holes. Same is true for the other side. I did add a strip of insulating foam (self-adhesive weatherstripping for pickup truck shells, you find it sold in 20' rolls at most auto parts stores) between slider and door sills, about a 1/4-1/2" under the upper edge of the slider, specifically to seal the area but mostly to avoid squeaks and squeals from friction that may occur when the body flexes. Did the same in all areas of contact between sliders and body or chassis.

I'll see if I can get them off before death valley. I'll be tight on time since I got a tire carrier being built starting on Tuesday

x3, my "gap" is barely there. Something looks very off on yours.

I use Voyager sliders and mine are also mounted completely flush. Bolts from the bottom, as well as on the sides in those holes that are exposed on yours. Definitely worth removing and double checking the fitment.

Good luck!

Hi there!

My "gap" is the same as Umberto's picture - but it did take a bit of positioning before I could get them just right. Did you put thick rubber strips where it articulates with the body? This is important, as you will definitely get creaking.

Keep us posted.
