For those with 18 inch wheels. I came across this tire today. Did anyone hear about this 2nd generation T/A KO ?
I am very happy with my 1st gen. BFG T/A KO and if the new one is better I will definitely get it in the future.

I've been waiting a year for these to be public. Very nice to see they will be available in more sizes than before. 265/70x18 will be the ideal largest size for modified lr3/4.

And that size (the only one I would consider for my unmodified LR4) won't be available until mid-April next year according to BFG. I'll have some time to think about it.

First, I would never consider looking at a tire manufacturer website for pricing when you wouldn't be buying from them.

Second, Tirerack shows 275/65x18 for $246 and 265/70 for $274 so I would expect the 265/65 to be in that range as well.

Third, regardless of the pricing, you get what you pay for. I value the 20% increase in sidewall strength over a few dollars once every several years.

I agree 100%

I have the 265/65R18 size now in the BFG ATs and love them - I'll likely get the next generation sometime next year when they are released in that size, though may consider the 275/6518 size. For 20% more sidewall protection on already pretty good protection, I am not concerned about the price. Tires are something I don't mind spending money on at all.
