Hi all, I have a 2004 TD5 110 defender thats recently started to throw up some issues that i think are fuel pump related.
Started with the pump being noisier than usual and now it seems fairly audible even with a full tank of fuel.
The fuel gauge tends to be fairly irregular and most recently ( last day or two) acceleration is really sluggish.
Would i be right in thinking these could be pump related? Planning to pick up a new pump today and cutting an access panel through the rear floor.

Thanks

Pump or filter... when is the last time you changed the filter?

Filter was done about 2000m ago and any fuel bled off from the tapping spout on the bottom of the filter seems fairly clean.

Sounds like a pump issue, but me being me I would put a fuel pressure gauge on it first.
