Good Scanner for LR3 Codes

Hello,

I'm looking to get a scanner for my 2006 Land Rover LR3. I'd like to be able to read codes and clear codes. Hopefully, saving some $ on repairs. Check engine light is on again.

I'm thinking about the Innova 3160(d). Does anyone have experience with using this with a Land Rover? Will it work? Any other recommendations?

im curious is there any advantage to having a scanner like above vs having the gap diagnostics iidtool?

Gap's IIDTool is really awesome, especially for the money.

It sounds like the Innova scanner product would work. Is Gap's IIDTool worth over twice the price?

I'm thinking I could use the Innova on other vehicles also. The Gap product looks like it's limited to the Land Rover.

Hmmm....when I got mine a few years back it was just under $400. Still a great tool.
