I often have a hitch-mounted bike rack on the back of my MY14 which also has the Vision Assist package. Is there a way to disable the annoying beeping from the Parking/Distance sensors with the IIDTool? I seem to remember folks doing it on earlier models to get around the incompatibility with after market bumpers. I can't see how to do that. Unless maybe I disable the complete Vision Assist package? That would be sad.

The parking aid and camera settings are independent. you cannot disable the rear sensors only

The only choices you have are to disable front & rear OR front only

IIDtool menu / Car Config / Parking Aid /

Best Regards

Thanks, Eric. But I don't have "Parking Aid" in my Car Config menu. I am using the BT version. 2014 LR4. Latest firmware I believe. (Doesn't it check automatically for firmware updates?)

Good to have you on the forum Eric!

Hi Umberto, thanks for your comment. I've been part of GAP Team from the
beginning but I didn't take part in forum because my english is not perfect
(Quebec Guy) and I try my best all day to change that. Many times before
I've read your comments about our tools on this forum and others and many
thanks to you for supporting our product here and on other forums !

Yes Dan your right, Parking Aid Sensor is not there for MY14 LR4, we will
work to modify the firmware in the next few days and contact you by mail
(already have it) when it's ready to download

Can this tool lower the sensor audio warnings below the min requirement of 12?

The warnings are still waaaay to loud coming out of my speakers. One could think an enemy jet has locked in on me.

We've check and there's no CCF for that feature

Sorry for now, if we find something related to your request, we will add it in the IIDTool and I will send you a PM

Just added

We just finished modifying firmware to add this feature to LR4 2014 and 2015.

We've sent you an email with instructions which explain how to proceed.

Until the next release, if anyone needs this feature, just contact us directly

Best Regard

Merci, Eric!

Ce fut un plaisir :proud:

Thanks, Eric. It works great. Put the bike rack and bike on today and no annoying beeping. Cross traffic warning and blind spot warning all work. Only the parking assist is off and I never use that anyway.
