Price of a replacement key

I was quoted nearly $600 for a replacement key for the Ladie which I had bought yesterday. The previous owner committed to pay for it initially because I thought a couple of hundred bucks, but this is simply insane!

they are not cheap I think that is what i was quoted as well. A key will not work off ebay you have to go thru the dealer.

Thanks Trynian for the great tip, I am gonna call them tomorrow. The prices appear to be more reasonable as compared to the dealer, AND they have the sill protectors I am looking for. Disappointed to know that the touch up paint takes one month to order, WOW!
