Anyone know whether this key is actually water resistant or water proof? The salesman said it was indestructible and water proof. The manual seems to state otherwise and gives a host of things to avoid subjecting it to like impact, the sun and water damage.
The brochure says that the key is water resistant and can be submerged to a depth of 75 feet. The manual says nothing of the sort.
I'm asking this because when I go surfing I like to take the key with me in the water rather than hide it on the car, which is an easy invitation for a break in.
