Hey guys, I know several of you have used this for your racks. I just needed to know how many flooring sections it needed and whether or not to buy the overlapped flooring or non overlapped. Any help would be appreciated. I just want to get on my roof and not damage the glass.

Thanks,

George

I used two pieces and got the type that overlaps, but it depends on how you lay down the flooring. I got a couple sheets that overlap and a couple that do not. I use industrial strength zip ties to keep it down and works very well. Here are a couple photos:

Thanks so much! I ordered 2 pieces. After reading many different forums this seems to be the best stuff for using as a platform on the racks. Great pics which really helped. Thanks!

Hi there!

Sorry I did not mention it before. I used something like below to secure the chicken coop flooring.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-LOT-OF-...074?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item2325f094c2

http://www.cabletiesplus.com/Produc...Cable-Ties-(175-lb)-(Black)__CP-24-175-B.aspx

They are huge and extremely strong/UV stable. I think I used about 25 of them (though you certainly don't need that many) because I wanted to permanently secure the flooring. Once you zip tie it down, it isn't going anywhere! Very strong.

Awesome!!! I found the Vanco ties on the eBay listing you provided at an HVAC store close to me. I paid $14.00 for 50. Just a tad cheaper than online and they were the 36 inchers. Again I appreciate your help! I did have to modify the flooring on both sides to get it to fit properly. Nothing a dremel couldn't fix!

Awesome! Yes, depending on your rack you may need to trim the panels - which is very easy. Can't wait to see a photo.

Here's my flooring, also getting a roof top tent. Hopefully everything will fit together nicely. Fingers crossed!

That looks awesome! Wow, Voyager has really made some great changes to their wind fairing. I had a Voyager rack on my 2011 and the old style fairing was horrible. I had heard they updated their design based on complaints - nice to see the new style looks great.

The flooring is awesome, such a cheap modification and holds the weight with no problem. I am up there all the time.
