D2 td5 gearbox fault

When changing gear sometimes hard to select or change the gear and there is a slight crunching now and again. I have had the clutch and flywheel changed 20000 miles ago. Could it be the ***** cylinder or gearbox internal fault. I would appreciate some direction from some of you guru's

Is it always the same gear? If so, then I would say shifting fork issues (internal) randomly all gears? I would say something with the clutch actuation.

I have the same issue, also with a whining / whirring noise. Clutch and flywheel being done this week, I knew it was coming but thought it may help.. Oh also had on a few occasions been able to push the clutch flat with no resistance (not good for beach driving ha ha).. So it was time it was done.
The short term workaround I use is to go for 2nd and then 1st. Works better than trying to force it into 1st.

what could be the fault, I diagnose a ranger over and all the control module is showing faulty... as if they are not communication,the transmission has U2023 fault external received from external nodes.. the abs is reporting control module
