For $120, you're halfway to a non-bluetooth IID Tool.

Funny you should ask this, I Just uploaded a video to my YouTube Chanel with this on it.

Reset the Service Indicator

Using your GAP IID tool or equivalent reset the service indicator.

For the GAP tool only. The process is was follows.

1. Connect tool to car and phone/tablet/computer
2. Select " Service/Test "
3. Select " IPC-Instrument Pack "
4. Select " Service Interval Reset "
5. When asked " Proceed with this Routine? " Select " Yes "
6. You will get a message "Waiting ECU Initialization " and a countdown timer.
7. Then the tool will display " Clearing Faults... "
8. Finally the tool will display " Operation Succeeded "

The service interval is now reset.

Well, interesting you should say GAP is helpful, I am not at all impressed with them.

I purchased the tool with an extra license and I cannot figure out how to activate it on the second vehicle. I have sent 2 emails to GAP and have received no response and it has been almost a week, If there is a phone number I cannot seem to find it.

If there is a contact method that they will actually respond to, please let us know!!

And on this website, how do I add that bit under my posts where I can list my vehicles? I can't seem to find that bit either!

I had to try the reset a couple of times myself to get the message to go away. I think what made the difference in my case was I left the tool connected for a good couple minutes after completing the process, then disconnected and shut down truck. At least that’s my theory. Service message hasn’t come
Back. Good luck!
