Fuses? Haven't checked.
Push the button for the heated windshield, and on comes the light! But it did that anyway.

I'd agree that it should be hard to screw up the install, hopefully it is just a matter of the wires being connected and all is good, but I'm surprised that without a heated windshield in the car, the light did not indicate some sort of anomaly by flashing or something. Anyway, guess I'll wait for the right opportunity.

Just realized that the windshield they put in was aftermarket, not LR.

Any issues I should look out for?
Man, when someone else is paying, they always cut corners.... :frown:

As far as I know, Pilkington is the only manufacturer that makes the LR4 windshield with the heated elements in it. I believe Pilkington was the OEM supplier, and maybe Land Rover rebranded it.

Nope, it says this on the bottom passenger corner;

Website lists it as a US auto glass manufacturer. I hope it's good!

The new Fuyao glass is really good. They now have a ton of OEM contracts. Chevy & Buick for sure, even if in an "Aftermarket" capacity, it's going to be of the highest quality.

Coincidentally, I remember seeing an article just this morning about a glass plant based outside of Dayton, OH that is Chinese owned and are dealing with a culture clash with the American workforce. It looks like your Fuyao glass came out of that factory. If they do indeed produce a quality product, I hope they can figure out their own in-house differences...

The Benson windshield in my LR4 has heating elements. Drivers side works, passenger used to.

Still don't know how to test mine. I've had some short duration fogging a couple times due to humidity/temp disparity. I turn on the heated windshield and I don't see any faint lines appear in the fog by the wires. But I don't recall if it used to or if this is more for ice.

Be nice if I had an infrared camera! Wouldn't that work? Turn it on and I should see all the wires glow, right?

I think it is also ambient temp controlled.I can only really tell when mine is working after having a mega frosted windshield first thing in the morning or in the winter when ice has reformed on the windshield.
