Finally stopped at the LR dealership in Peabody, MA to have a closer look at the Discovery.
I really like the front, agressive design would look really mean in black or another dark color. The sides are nothing special and the rear is downright ugly to my taste.
Interior is nice but feels cheaper than the LR4 which was closer to the FFRR interior. The rear seats... what can I say we don't have kids so the only time these seats would be used would be by adults. The middle row seats are low and short. No support at all for someone my height (6'2) and the lack of stadium seating is pretty sad. The rear windows definitely don't roll down all the way... what a shame. I didn't even test the third row after that.
The rear tailgate and the absurd little folding bench are just ridiculous and everything but pretty.
After all this disappointment, I definitely didn't take it for a ride.
One more thing if you're seated in the driver seat (probably front passenger too), when folding the rear seat your seat will move forward into the steering wheel... quite unpleasant.
In the end, I don't think this is our next vehicle. We'll either switch brand or buy another product from LR but most likely not a Discovery.
