Two weeks old...

2016 Landmark, joined on a maiden voyage by the LR3 that convinced me to make the switch from long-time Jeep driver.

Can you please tell me where this is and how to find the trail? Please PM me if you would.

Explored a few dirt roads this weekend. Even dirty, the LR4 still looks clean :dontknow:

Oooof... This is the single most **** LR3/4 I think I have ever seen. Perfect stance and I love that Expedition rack soooo much more than my FR. I think I am in love!

What tyre size are you running here? 275/55/20? Looks like there's a tiny lift -- did you hear rubbing on your off highway adventures?

I see your front plate is RMR. I bought my LR3 years back from them in Birmingham.

Bought a 2010 LR4 HSE in July with 88k on it.
Just upgraded to Compomotive wheels and BFG 265/65 18 KO2s

LOVE this truck even more than my old 80 Series LandCruiser!

I don't think I have posted here for a long time. Time for an update. Since I last probably posted, everything is different except my roof rack and ladder.

The new ARB Summit bar! (on my 2013 HSE Lux HD)

I normally don't keep the T44 swing arms on so I can use my parking sensors and camera.

Before the front bumper, but showing my T44 bumper swings and 'trip mode' with my cases.

Looks great, but that is a lot of extra weight.

It is, and I was worried about it and that is part of what took me so long to go forward with the bumpers and full skids. First four years of ownership and ~57k miles of adventure went just fine with just sliders (mostly voyager sliders) and a roof rack. Granted I am no off road rock crawling wizard. Mostly tame stuff with the family.

But having it all on now, I can honestly say that it has not made much of any difference in how it drives. (using non lab certified butt dyno) I am pretty surprised by it. I am at about 6700 lbs... eeek. I am happy I went this way. I want to protect the truck and since this is purpose built for trips (no longer a daily driver) I think it is ok to have the weight. I am sure it does impact the vehicle, I am just saying it hasn't been noticeable in driving, stopping, general feel. Will it eat bushings and hub bearings faster? maybe.. I will let you know.

Do I *need* full skids and bumpers?... of course not. But I like that if something happens on a trip, I will more than likely have protection and durability to get me through it. It isn't just for vanity, but I sure like the look of it. If anything I feel even more motivated to plan trips and get out and explore.

And one last point... (which seems like a constant battle on facebook groups now)... I run 31.5" tires and NO LIFT RODS and NO ELECTRONIC LIFT (other than with IID tool AS NEEDED, which is RARE). Speaking of vanity.. the un needed lifts that people put on these is crazy. I get doing it for looks and actually have no issue with that, its when people claim the NEED a lift because of tire size (johnson rippoffs) or for where they take them off road... I call bs.
