Got the base Front Runner Slimline II rack installed last week and today had the custom c pillar wrap my son and I designed. We mocked it up ourselves, then had it done professionally today. The installer went with a base black vinyl, then added clear on top. The matte black edge stripe matches the look of the rubber around the doors and windows.

Lights coming for the front and rear of the rack soon. And wheels when I can find someone with 20” wheels to swap or 18” to buy. I’ll post more as it develops.

Do we know yet if 18's will fit? Sorry, playing catch up as I have been out of the rover game for a while but am interested in coming back.

The short answer is we don't know. Lucky8LLC had steelies on theirs that looked like 18", but the offset was likely wrong. Tuffant in Australia will have a set soon. Its unclear if they will work with TPMS sensors though.

No one seems to have tried a bunch of different LR wheels. One of the issues seems to be the larger front calipers of the newer cars compared to the older ones. I'm happy to try test fitting in the NYC area if someone has wheels they want to try.

C-pillar looks great! I had a white loaner a while ago and I was thinking that this exact treatment would make it look much better...breaks up the mass of the rear section. There very well could be a gray diesel D5 in my future...at least when I need to retire my LR4.

I thought I read elsewhere that LR4 wheels will work, which, to me, means that Compomotive 18s will work. I'm sure if you give Lucky8 a call they will tell you what they know; I just ordered sliders and they were really helpful.

Apparently the LR4 wheels don’t work. I believe the calipers are larger and don’t clear the wheel. Needs some changes for the L462.

I’d love sliders too. The Lucky8 boys say that’s gonna be a challenge.

Which LR4 wheels will not work? All sizes?

I was talking about 18” wheels. I believe some of the others will fit. Spacers may be needed.
