Just wanted to share my experience with the forum.

I took my '07 LR3 in last week to have them fix the send row sunshade that would not stay latched. So I searched the forum and found a wonderful list of TSB's for the '06-'07 LR's. I took my list to Land Rover Denver East which gladly fixed it under warranty.

As I was looking at the other TSB's for '06-'07 LR's I noticed the one below and mentioned it to my Service Adviser that I do experience this issue. So they upgraded the ECU and Transmission software/firmware as well.

I will have to say that upgrade made a BIG difference! My LR shifts better and faster and it feels like a new machine! The engine is faster to rev and is a lot more aggressive! It feels like I have an additional 50 HP !

Just my experience with the upgrade but I would say it is worth a question to your service adviser!

Make : LAND ROVER Model : LR3 Year : 2006
Manufacturer : LAND ROVER
Service Bulletin Number : 00013 Date of Bulletin : MAY 24, 2007
NHTSA Item Number : 10021974
Component : ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:ENGINE
Summary :
SLOW ACCELERATION FROM A STANDING START. *KB

Thanks RvDub.

I wish I saw this before my warranty expired. Do you notice a drop in MPG?

Nope! I did not see a drop in MPG. It is staying right around 17.2 MPG.

...interesting that '05s aren't affected.

Another plus for the faultmate is that you can check that you have the current software update for your vehicle and update it if not. It is a bit of a process but doable none the less.

My acceleration is awful these days. It is basically that throttle delay when you come to a rolling stop (intersections, pulling onto a road, STOP signs I don't actually stop for...). I get a 2 second delay from when I hit the gas to when the car goes. It is awful and dangerous.

Dealer won't fix it. Claims it is just my rover's learned settings and all he'll do is reset them for me or tell me how to do it. It never fixes the problem.

I've discussed this here before, as have others, but as summer approaches and my foot gets heavier, I notice it more! Anyone have some fixes? Maybe I should go to another dealer before my LR Extended expires (I'm at 92K now).

It might help to disconnect the battery for 10min and let the computers reset. Dealer told me the same thing when I brought mine in, they updated the engine and tranny software for $100 and seemed to work for a month or two, but it went back to its "learned" settings. I notice now though, when I had to unplug the battery to run a V1 hardwire, the responsiveness is better.
