Oh ok, so you’re saying if I loosen all of those boots the handle assembly will remove regardless because the sleeves will detach from the assembly? Seems odd but I’ll give it a go.

The wires of the aftermarket windshield are too thick or the OEM wires? If it’s the aftermarket windshield then I suppose my only options are to either replace it again or just leave the fuses out so it won’t activate.
I have a similar issue with my latest replacement windshield. Only the Driver's side lights up, Passenger side keeps blowing fuses. I took it back to glass shop and they showed me that side of the windshield works by hard wiring the fuse for a couple seconds. I could see and feel it heating...
If you're going to tear into the car might as well replace vacuum pump gasket, it's a cheap and easy job.

I can also say that I had Open Country A/T III's installed and they were smoother riding than the worn out Nokians they replaced. I have been very happy with the ride and performance thus far.
