Drove the new Discovery and I'm totally confused now.
After many LRs I am currently driving a '16 4Runner Limited. It's got plenty of luxury conveniences, is full time 4wheel drive, has locking diff., etc. If you wish, the 4Runners can be modified fairly easily. It's a toyota, so resell and reliablility are excellent. The down sides are... -
poor sirius satellite reception
I too have problems under overpasses, on very tree covered roads, etc. It is frustrating. -
Taking the Rover off road
I got stuck 3 times this year due to mud- mud is my biggest obstacle. The stock tires suck. I would highly recommend putting better off road tires on your rig. -

Not everyone is an engineer. Some of us are other professionals- maybe it's you who shouldn't own a land rover. You just sound like a bitter person. Get a life!:bootyshak -

You should have owned a 1996 Disco I :help: Land Rover's are sooo much more reliable now days than they were then. I had tons of electrical problems- like the rear windshield wiper switch would activate the radio (or some crazy thing like that). Door latch problems......the list goes on and... -
TDV6 in LR3 in future?
What does the diesel get mpg-wise? I just sold a MB ML320 CDI- averaged around 22. I was thinking diesel would be great for LR to bring over here, but with diesel prices what they are now.....
