Early Model Discovery 5 Common Issues?

I can't speak for a vehicle out of the USA, but I bought a 2017 D5 about 1.5 years ago with about 32k miles, and it has been a great vehicle. I had a coolant issue within a month or so, and they had to fix as CPO the satellite antenna for the NAV, but otherwise it has been a wonderful vehicle.

    Locking Diff question PLEASE

I'm not an expert on the locking rear diff, but I do have one. My understanding is that it is not "turned on" until you use one of the terrain response settings, which then preloads it. It is a locking variable diff, so it's not engaged or disengaged per-se. However rock crawling mode will...

How to stop battery from draining

Umbertob is correct about the lights. When camping, I always turn off the lights so they don't come on when the doors open. Every Day is a Good Day Surfing...Some are just Better Than Others Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

    2015 LR2 $35200, more room?

In April last year, I bought a new 2013 LR2 that dealer was selling for $8k off sticker price. It was a late 2013 build. While dealers are trying to clear stock for the Discovery a Sport, there is a steady demand for the LR2, and I believe they are now out of production. Hope that sheds some...

1,000th post about LR3 Air leak

Is your driveway flat or inclined? I've seen my Lr3 drop the nose trying to level things out. If you aren't getting faults, it could also be a pinhole in front airbags. My fronts have generally had more leakage and replacement issues than rears. In fact, I just replaced my rears at 166,000...

    Non functioning nav display

I had something similar a year ago in my LR3. It turned out to be some bad connections to the back of the screen unit. To fix it I pulled off the dashboard around the screen, then removed the screws that hold the screen unit in place. After blowing dust out and unplugging the connectors, I...

2013 LR2 - how to lock doors manually?

Slide the chrome part off the key fob which will reveal a folded key. You then insert the key in the hole under the drivers door handle and pry off the rear most part which will reveal the actual keyhole which will lock and unlock the doors. Every Day is a Good Day Surfing...Some are just...
