2007 LR3 front differential ?
Front diff! and after having the front diff fluid changed the mechanic indicated that there wasn't even the tiniest of fragments in the drained fluid--so for now I feel pretty good about just keeping on moving!! thanks for all input!! -

Mattress Pad in the back - Recommendations?
I use a foam pad that has memory foam layer--when camping I leave it as a bed in the back and put extra bags and stuff on top if I need the extra room for things--as it is memory foam putting the extra weight on it while traveling--doesn't affect it--plus no having to inflate an air... -

Thanks!! that's what I wanted to hear!! I can live with noise for awhile if it decides to give up--at least until I could get it replaced--just didn't want to be left out on the road or dirt somewhere!!:) -

Thanks! Yeah that's kind of what I'm thinking--so having new fluid put in---and will see what happens. I've heard that when the diff goes it can go out really quickly without any real warning--that's the part that worries me going on a longer trip--if anyone has any thoughts on that would like... -

Took the LR3 into the shop-independent Rover shop. LR3 has about 150,000 miles on it--they indicated that the front differential was starting to make a bit of noise not bad but starting--fluid looks clean. The are doing the 150,000 mile tune up--no other problems--car runs great! So the... -

Thanks-thought about those-I'm 5'8" it looks like most of those wheel steps only go about half way up the wheel--for now--I just step up on the wheel to get to the cargo on top--awkward as I have to hold on with one hand to balance-thus the reason for looking--just don't think the wheel step... -

Thanks but all the ones I've seen so far are for rear mounted ladders with the exception of the Rhino which attaches to one of its roof top baskets--which I don't use. -

I have an LR3--I often travel with one of the large thule rooftop carriers. I typically access the rooftop box by standing on the rear tire! Which although it works--when you need two hands to take something out--well it's not feasible without falling off! It just doesn't seem like a rear... -
