    Thanks, that makes sense. It would never have occurred to me that there's a hood sensor. I'll take a look at that tomorrow, as my wife's out of town with the vehicle at the moment.

    So here's a weird one. I had the Disco in for some service recently and when I got it back, I noticed that when I lock it, the horn sounds. I know that it's supposed to do that if there's a door ajar, but I've checked them all and it continues. Sensor somewhere screwed up?

    Nevermind. I found the problem. The metal bracket that holds the plastic clip was bent, probably when my son put gas in it. Bent it back, and it works find. Thanks for your assistance.

    I've just run across the same problem. The pin that is supposed to engage the plastic latch on the inside of the fuel door only extends out about a quarter inch, which is short of the latch. I can press the pin in and it snaps back out freely, but only a quarter inch. So my question would be...
