I'm having the same issue. local reputable mechanic replaced my upper control arms and the truck sits on the bump stops. Compressor runs then shuts off right away. I suspected a leak, but, there are a couple things this thread has suggested, More than likely an alignment? He suggested an...
i had my rear upper control arms replaced both sides. My mechanic recommended alignment. the truck dropped after the second rear left was replaced and gets the suspension fault lights. So...are you saying if the rear wheels are out of alignment it will throw this fault?
My EPB also is screeching. I took my LR3 into the mechanic to replace the upper control arm and bearing. In the process he cut the brake line and replaced it. But when I got the truck back the suspension was dropped. It never came back up and I got a suspension fault error on my dash. I went...
I got the Hitachi about three years ago and it works fine. Popped it in. Restarted a few times and it took. Ended up also having to repair wiring about six months later, because of water leaks, but the compressor has been good.
I have a 2006 LR3 HSE with 260k km. Also in Canada. My repairs have been mostly typical. I'm getting bearings done now. The suspension compressor went. I've been lucky but it sounds like I have the best of the engines. Thought the same thing about getting rid of it. But what would I get as a...
My daughter and her bf used my LR3 to go to a cabin they own close to Algonquin Park. They posted a video on their YouTube channel. They struggled in maybe 12 inches but it had a slick base. I have Nokians WGR 4 or something like that. And i agree with others.....if the road is slick then the...
Just had the same thing happen to me and found this. For me....I think it was because I was working on replacing the rear left power window motor. I gave the switch connector a shot of electrical contact cleaner. I figured it may not have dried completely. Pulled it out...was quiet. Put it back...
My first point in the repair was to replace the lugs. Many were rounded and almost all were swollen. I used a nut remover for most, but one wouldn't release. After removing the chrome and getting to the harndened steel nut, i snapped it off. Now I am drilling the remainder out. So it looks...
good info. Thanks. I'm having this issue but for my rear. My lugs were rounded (six or more I think). One I could not removed, so after cutting the chrome off to get to the hardened steel, I snapped off the lug and now have to drill out the remainder. Pretty confident my stud will be shot...
thanks. after posting i found a video from powerfuluk. looks a bit tricky but I think I can pull it off. Was a shame I didn't get to this sooner. I took a road trip to the farthest northern road on the east coast I can drive to. Had to take the Lincoln instead. Not as much room for...
2006 LR3 HSE with 260k km. My mechanic doesn't like working on this vehicle. Yesterday I asked him to look the vehicle over before a road trip to James Bay. He thought the front bearings might be going and advised to go to a mechanic that works on bearings for European cars. I decided to...
I have the factory installed high beams. How do these compared with that, if anyone knows. I know when I have mine on, it's like being in a football stadium. I've considered swapping them for after market brands, but not sure it's worth it.
Mostikley the clocking. I replace mine. Turns out it was ok. Not a difficult job but requires a special tool and if you do it, make sure the battery is drain so you don't trigger the air bags. There is a good YouTube video on removing the steering wheel.
