For the sake of change I guess its got to happen eventually. Seems like there is more space between forum posts, so the user has to scroll more.

Forums for me are about organizing thoughts, when you remove the thought, you're left with blank space.... doesn't jive with me.

my .02 cents.

So now to read the last post on a thread we have to sign in. What's next a monthly fee? Maybe I'm getting old but the old layout seemed fine by me.

Ha! Since I don't visit as often when I came here I thought something had happened and I'd been kicked off the "real" forum. As it ends up, the land cruiser forum I am on also uses XenForo though their background is black. I prefer the white. ;-)

Dan, on this forum, the color of the theme can be personalized. The options are "LandRover Light" and "LandRover Dark". Scroll to the bottom of the page...it's just above the About Us link and beneath the social media share buttons.

Thanks. I think I like "light". I take that back. Going dark...

?? You do not have to be signed in to see all the posts. What I meant was you need to be signed in to click the link and automatically be taken to the last post that you read (to pick up where the thread left off when you last browsed). If you are not signed in, how would the forum know what page an anonymous guest last read?

Make sense?

I don't think the page views is an accurate representation of what's being read. For example, right now there are 185 on the forum of which only 11 are signed in. My own style has been to only ever sign in when I post a thread or reply. Being able to click that link made it very easy to pop on off as my work permitted throughout the day and follow along. Not the end of the world, just seems to me why remove such a user-friendly feature.

Location
Bethesda, Maryland, USA
In a different thread, member @umbertob made a motion that displaying Location details should be required for members. Personally I don't think it should be required even though I share mine, or thought I did. I don't have any privacy concerns about posting this info although some may.

My point is not to enter a debate over this; it's something else. After reading his suggestion, I visited my own panel and verified that I had entered my location (Bethesda, Maryland, USA). However, it's not visible to me under my avatar. Is it just not visible to me even though others can see it?

Edit: Sorry, went back to double-check and realized that there are TWO "Location" text fields in the Personal Details section. I had overlooked the one at the top that was formerly blank. Call off the dogs.

Not digging the forum pages, but the thread pages are nicer.
