Hey LR braintrust. I've got an 2011 LR4 with 69,000 miles. It's been flawless until this morning. Started it up and it stalled. Re-started it and it ran rough and went into and read reduced power mode on the display. My local guy ran the codes and needs more diagnostic work and tear off the top of the motor to diagnose. He has not seen this combination of faults. Also my mechanic does not have the time to get to this right now. Will have it towed to the dealer and hopeful this is something they've seen.

Anyone ever get this combination of faults or have any ideas? Thanks!

yikes, got word on these faults and it is ugly. Fuel pressure faults are due to need for two new fuel pumps, The Camshaft profile control fault is uglier and the vehicle needs a new oil restrictor and all new timing chain guides and tensioners. Total for the job to be performed by the dealer is $7500. Major blow to my wallet to say the least. My local Land Rover mechanic didn't want to even volunteer for doing the job and in a jam and need the vehicle so will take the hit and let the dealer do it.

Anyone out there seen this with their LR4? Contemplating moving on from this vehicle after getting it fixed. Having another major failure is feeling too dicey now.

Might be a PITA, but could you get a second opinion?

I'm not sure where the oil restrictor is, but timing chain appurtenances on every vehicle I have seen are normally no too involved--at least not $7,500 involved.

You need a second opinion. It is not normal to go from flawless to $7500 in repairs without previous symptoms unless something obvious occurred. You never changed the oil, you drove through 4 feet of water, had a collision, etc. Sometimes one small issue will result in many different faults being registered, but fixing that one issue will make them all go away.
