I was like, wait, I think we have a guy here on the forum who might be Amish;)
Hopefully he thinks it's a funny comment.

If he doesn't then grow thicker skin.

It was actually meant with respect in that the LR has this quiet panache about it. LR is more subtle in its luxury - kind of that British properness. It is not blingy or in your face more like the X5 was for me.

I agree with that Hayseed. Though I despise smoking, i actually love that my new LR4 has a cig lighter. And i also love that it just has a 12v charging port opposite it, rather than a fancy USB charger.. Those are located behind the storage above the glove box, out of site. I'm in my mid-30's, and work in a very high-technology field - so I'm by no means a dinosaur. But these are things I greatly appreciate, for aesthetic and subtle reasons. Others may think it's a complete waste of space.

I also love the analog clock - though I wish they didn't put a digital clock in the screen. That's just redundant, and makes the analog unit seem like its just there for fun.. it detracts from just how fantastic it is.

Definitely agree! I love that clock myself.

I really like the fact you can control the climate without going into the infotainment system like on the Range Rover family.

This is a sore subject for me. My 2nd charge port on the right of the shifter has NEVER worked since I bought the truck from new. They have looked at it twice on 2 diff services and still haven't figured it out.

With the approaching end of year and new design for the LR4 are dealers discounting at all on the 2016 LR4's?
Also got a lease quote with a money factor of .00205 which did not seem all that good.

Yeah, doesn't seem wonderful by any means. I never even got that far before I just said no.

I've been searching and I have found a few that meet my needs but I am not seeing much in pricing relief....I thought I'd see at least something.

Just my 2 cents.

I have a 2016 X5M and a 2012 LR4 Lux. At a rated 568 and measured 640-ish dyno indicated HP, the X5M is a beast if you want something agressive to drive. But, to tell you the truth, I like the LR4 just as much. They are very different vehicles. The LR4 is a fairly comfortable, good all-around vehicle. Much more utility, softer ride, will go anywher and has better sound system.

In terms of negotiating, I didn't try real hard, but only ended up with about $500 off of the $65,000+ LR4. Over the phone, I was able to negotiate over $9,000 off on a nearly $107,000 X5M. Most people see the LR4 and think it's more expensive than the M- go figure.

Just picked up a new 16 LR4 in Corris gray with Black package Silvee edition. Quite happy!
