Just for giggles, I configured a HSE Lux (Diesel) with all the goodies I'd like or that I am used to on the LR4... $80K.

I like the contrast roof color option, similar to the RR.

Are they nickel and diming every accessory? The retractable trunk cover is an option?

I like what I'm reading and what I saw in the 12 min video. They are pushing a lot of my buttons with the new tech and other capabilities of the D5.

Well they solved my biggest issue with having a single tailgate and love their cute video about their CAD Dog for testing.

Wife still doesn't like it and is glad we got the last of the LR4s

I haven't done too much digging on the specs, but a lot of it sounds really great. I just can't get past the look and that is why I just bought an LR4 and have no regrets.

  • 3.0 Liter LR-V6 Supercharged
  • Power: 340HP
  • Torque: 450lb-ft
  • 3.0 Liter LR-TD6 Diesel
  • Power: 254HP
  • Torque: 600lb-ft ----- This can't be right.

Yeah, no way. I know diesel engines can be super torquey, but 600lb-ft? Maybe from a big displacement V8, not a 3-liter turbo 6. The real figure is probably closer to 400-450 (which is still a lot. That would be my engine of choice.)

The stated torque from the gas V6 Supercharged looks suspect as well. Isn't it pretty much the same engine of the current LR4? 340 hp, 332 lb-ft of torque.
