Hello all,

I just got my 16 Landmark, and not loving the black grille and side vents. I plan to request the dealership to swap it out with the conventional silver color grille and matching vents.

Is the grille easy to swap? Does it require any screws etc or is it just a snap on thing?

How about the side vents.

I am just fearful of it being an invasive procedure :)

Its very easy to get front grill out.

In fact they explain it in the handbook - because you need to remove it to change headlight bulbs.
Just a few clips at the top and then pull out and up.

On the side grill - I think its a 'enthusastic' pull.. see this video

I will know more next week when my black grills arrive.

Maybe we should have done a simple swap ;-)

I just did mine last week. The grille is super easy, tabs on top release by pushing down, at the same time pull the top of the grille out. There are two hidden tabs in the vicinity of the bottom corners by the headlights. Those release by pulling out.

The side vents are just like the video. I started mine by pulling on the bottom edge. Once I had released most of the vent with gentle coaxing, I then gave a solid tug and they pop out.

I have my original silver grills and side vents off my 2013 if anyone wants to buy them. I need to post up in the classifieds also. They're in great condition and could be used as a blacked out, replacement set.

funny, just got my 2015 LR4 today and am looking to replace the grill. The side vents I have from my 2012 LR4 and fit perfectly, and yes, all gloss black is my goal including all the lettering. I like the blacked out look. Yank on the side vents works but I also have a set of plastic trim removal tools and that helped a lot more honestly. Trying to find front lamp guards but I'm hearing they don't exist for the facelifted LR4s. The rear lamps guards from my 2012 worked fine so far. Might have my silver grill for sale if you're interested.
