It's super easy. I did it with the wheels off so I didnt have to worry about over spray. Make sure you do a bunch of coats though, it makes it easier to pull it back off. I did at least 5 I think.

Took my wife out for her first drive this morning all went really well she liked the truck.

Then turning left out of a tricky junction this muppet came flying towards us doing about 50km/hr over the speed limit I shouted to Mrs Ditton to stop ... She never listens to me anyway.... So she panicked and floored the accelerator while turning to avoid the inevitable smash.

We were both blown away by the power of this car - the stability control kicked in too and kept the truck amazingly poised so that Mrs Ditton managed to avoid mounting the sidewalk opposite and demolishing various signposts and street furniture that all flashed by, intact, and in a blur.

We are both still quite shaken but at least we are all in one piece.

I only intended to show Mrs Ditton how to drive an automatic transmission but we ended up testing much more than that!

Lr4 is awesome. Audi drivers are muppets. Extremely dangerous muppets!

Yikes! Great to hear you are both OK! Testing the stability systems and how the vehicle reacts in an emergency is really tough. There is nothing like the real world to see how it works. But you can't stage stuff like that. Now you know.

Thanks Dan. We are fine and so is the LR4.

The safety systems on this truck are amazing take my word for it - I hope you never have the occasion to test them!!

Best wishes

Thames

Are you using Matte, or is there a semi-gloss finish?

I guess it's matte. I bought a couple cans of 'glossifier' and used in on a wheel or two, but didn't see a whole lot of difference. But I really like the matte look anyway. If you want a real shiny gloss, you're definitely better off just painting them.

Introducing "Perseus"

I had my local tire shop mount the G/Y Duratrac 275/65R18's to the Compomotive Wheels. Then I installed them with the Johnson Rods at my shop. I have several other mods in the works. Rack, sliders, underbody protection, lights.....
