Broke the rear mount High lamp assembly. Have the replacement piece and the instructions about how to replace it. It is held in place by sealant. Anyone know what kind of sealant?

Land Rover glues the plastic to the metal as if it were a windscreen - another one of their not so good ideas. It has been suggested that your go to a windshield repair shop and have them do it.

Thanks for the reply. Since the posting of my question the LR3 died. So I have a light, without any truck to glue it on.

Can you elaborate on the LR3's cause of death and current whereabouts?

Timing belt went and caused all kinds of bad things to happen to the valves and pistons.

The signs were there. i ignored them and paid the price.

Made 169k miles with minimal (for a Land Rover) aggravation.
Sold it to a guy who has the training and tools to rebuild the engine.

The LR3 doesn't have a timing belt...unless yours is a V6, in which case it might.

Might have been chains. It skipped. Valves bent. Car died.
No matter how it is described I am out a vehicle for lack of PM. Don't be me

I'd be willing to take your orphaned center high brake light off your hands. PM me what you want for it.
