Seems that this is the only AT tire that comes in a 65 that is 111 rated. Thinking of getting these for my girls LR3 in Cali. I have had the Nittos's and the Cooper's At's was looking for something different for her ride. This is a size that seems right for the on-road to light/medium off road adventures that my girl does in her LR3 so no lift required but a bit of extra tire. These are the up grade of the silent armors.
Any experience with these?
Thanks,
Dave

My only concern with this size is that all of the tires except one (that I am aware of anyway) are SL rated. Given the weight of the LR3 and the extra tire height, I am thinking those would produce less precise handling and more "floating" around turns.

In that size, I would consider the Michelin Defender LTX M/S in the LT size (they have an SL rated one too I think). The LT size should be strong enough to counter that issue and is broadly considered an excellent tire - the only thing lacking might be a meaty All-Terrain look if that is critical to her.

I guess the SL might be too light even if it's Kevlar side walls. I guess the only AT tires worth a cent are the BFG K02 in a 255 65 18. Why pay that much for the Michelins when you can get the K02's for about the same $$$.
