Hello, my gf has a 2012 lr4 Land rover and it has recently started giving the warnings of stability control not available, forward braking assist not available and she says it's really difficult to drive when it's raining. So much so that she won't drive at all in the rain. We just put a brand new battery in the vehicle and no luck. When all the warnings pop up she can pull over and turn vehicle off then back on and the warnings will go away for an amount of time. She never knows when it's going to happen but it's getting more and more frequent as of late. Any help greatly appreciated

Perhaps it's a bad brake light switch (you didn't replace any brake lights or other bulbs in the car recently, did you?) A faulty brake light switch used to be a real issue on the LR3 / 2006-2009 Sport, and caused all kinds of faults to pop up: Traction and stability control, ABS, HDC, suspensions, etc. Although it doesn't seem to be nearly as affected as those models, the LR4 uses the same switch, so it's not immune I guess. Anyway, it's such a cheap and easy to replace part, it may be worth a shot in the dark. Otherwise, you'd have to download fault codes. Some wiring may be wet and shorting out - especially if the problems started with the rain.

She said that she replaced the headlight bulb on the passengers side after she hit a deer but that was several months ago. She said the issue used to be only occasionally but now it's getting more frequent but she said it never did it before she replaced that bulb

She said that the problem didn't start because it raining or being wet. She just told me that because the vehicle is really really difficult for her to drive when the roads are wet because of the issues she is having.

You need to get the codes it is throwing. Take it to a dealer or someone with a code scanner.

Yep yep I am taking it on Monday. I was just trying to get a round about idea so I'm not going into it completely blind. Does that vehicle have an Obd 2?

Yes, the OBDII connector is under the LH side of the driver's knee panel.

She hit a deer hard enough to need to change a headlight bulb? That doesn't make sense; to me, if you hit a deer hard enough that a headlight bulb goes out, the bulb is the least of your concerns.

All it did was bust the headlight out. Just punched a hole in the lense and hit the bulb and blew it up. She stopped called me I went and picked it up took it home and processed it. No need in wasting it. The deer literally somehow only hit the headlight didn't touch any other part of the vehicle. I had to see it to believe it myself. Small doe around 60 pounds
