Any opinion on 265/60R18 KO2s on a stock LR4 with Compomotive 18s? I'm about 80/20 on pavement and horrible gravel/rocky roads so I'm not doing hard-ass off-roading as much as I'm in variable situations that may not need that increase in sidewall that comes with 65s. My primary concerns are a) being able to fit the spare under the vehicle without removing the heat shield and b) avoiding any rubbing that might be an issue with the larger 65s. Does sticking at 60 check those boxes?
Yes I'm running them along with at least one other active member here. They're what I'd consider the "stock" size for 18" KO2's. I'm running them as you describe on Compo 18's and there's no rubbing at any height full-lock and no problem with the spare even with the trailer hitch plugged in (I tow). There's more discussion a ways back in this thread by me and others on the topic.
They've been pretty good in snow/ice and quite amazing on-road for such an aggressive tread (compared to OEM tires). People can't believe how quiet they are when they go for a ride--everyone assumes they'll howl like mud tires. I got them more for the load and snow rating than off-roading. I wish I could do more off-roading but it just doesn't really exist around SW Ohio unfortunately...
