06 Rover hse transmission malfunction

The warning messsge pops up fir a split second then goes away. Anyone have any ideas as to some issues? I've heard that the 2006 year had some transmission issues from a very reputable tech

Should I get concerned over this warning ?

The Rover does not go into limp mode FYI

Welcome to the forum.

First with only the knowledge that you get a very fast warning on an 06 Rover, I am going to say you have a battery starting to die or the alternator isn't charging like it used to. Either way electrical.

Took it in for diagnostics today to a good independent shop that I without a doubt trust.

Transmission fault do to a pressure solinoid in the zf transmission. The fix is a new /used valve body I was told to look for a 2008 zf 6 speed valve body. Anyone have any insight on a used source or a reputable rebuilder. It's dumb that Rover does not have replaceable solinids but instead requires the whole valve body unit to be replaced. But. It is what it is
