As long as they bring out a bad ass Defender, they can dilute it all they want.
With an arrogant weasel as design director, a new bad ass Defender is now seemingly a lot to ask for from LR.

The Velar shouldn't mainly target on-road performance—Porsche's Macan will eat it for breakfast. It better have very decent off-road capabilities.

Welp... glad I have my LR4 with factory warranty till 2021...

Wanted an off-road vehicle with refinement and got it. Although the tech on the Disco 5 is impressive, not sure the exterior will ever grow on me.
Fingers crossed the Defender will be worth getting by the time I am ready for something else.

Hard to fault them for wanting to make money but I feel that ultimately means ditching their true heritage.

Jeez.. I thought the new Disco5 was bad. What are they thinking? I've lost all faith the Defender will be anything close to what it should be.

Going to own this '13 "last of the V8s" LR4 until the wheels fall off.

I don't think they Porsche suvs drive anything like LR products, but that's just me.

I kinda like the Macan, I wanted to get one for my wife, but she is still attached to her Lexus RX... thing is pretty old. I do think the options game with Porsche is crazy, but I like

Same here, and then we can ask on the forums and put the wheel back on!

They are a mess as soon as a Range Rover became a fashion statement not a life style statement the brand died.

Range Rover, Discovery, Defender, Freelander ... exploration indicated

Evoque, Velar ..... something straight from fashion week

Can I also point out that we don't have indication that they are doing any sort of Disco 5 expedition.... how are we supposed to know the vehicle works if they don't drive it from London to South Africa.
