I always use Textar pads and rotors. Textar is an OEM manufacturer so you are getting the exact OEM replacement without the LR price. I've tried a number of ceramic and other pads over the years and imop it is always easier to stick with OEM. Partly because you never know how its gonna feel and act until you get them on.

@churious good point. I've yet to order a new set of brakes due to comparing brands, but I saw that Textar and Centric were both OEM. Nothing against Hawk or EBC Greenstuff. Do you use regular rotors as well or a high carbon type?

I'm fairly certain at the beginning Centric was not an OE supplier. I know they have moved more that way but I'm pretty sure they had some pretty low quality stuff at one point so I always steered clear.

On my LR3, BMWs and now my LR4 I have just used Textar and Brembo. I have used Hawk and Pag pads on the track with race cars and they are great but for street I honestly just stick with OEM. Just use the standard OEM pads and rotors from textar. They are literally the identical OEM product you would get from the dealer in an LR box for half the price.

Also I do all my own brakes and I think I can do an axel in about 1.5 hours now. Grab your favorite brew and have some fun!

Ive dealt with these guys before if your looking for a good place to order them. http://www.britishpartsofutah.com

Thank for the link! I'm heading to Home Depot now to pick up a cordless impact wrench. Should make thinks a lot easier. I found the torque specs for all the bolts and lugs on workshop manual. Looks fairly easy and straight forward

I've used Textar and Pagid, both OEM for Mercedes, many, many times. Nothing against them but I absolutely love the EBC greenstuff pads and wish they were available for my Mercedes as well.
Currently driving a 2013 Mini Countryman (LR4 is my wife's truck) and will get EBCs when the time to replace brakes comes....

Wonder what is the rotor life with EBC Green? I know the LTS is two pads for one rotor.

I just did my second pad swap in October 2016 (second set of pads on the EBC rotors). The rotors are still well within specification.
No checking, pitting or cracks forming around the dimples or slots.

There is a bit more dust with the EBC, but I have converted all my vehicles to them, given their perceived improvement on stopping power.
Stay away from the harder EBC compound though, less dust but higher noise and can take a bit longer for the pad to heat up enough to bite. This is especially an issue if you have longer commutes with less braking.

Here's another choice Porterfield R4-S. I have them on all 4 corners on the RRS with stock rotors. Very little dust, and I mean very little. Have a slight tendency to squeak at crawling speeds, but the no dust trade off is worth it.

I didn't realize Porterfield made pads for Land Rover. Had a set on my GL550 a few years back and loved them. Thanks!

Brembo - high carbon rotors. Hawk ceramic pads.

No brake dust. No fading on quick stops. Quiet as can be.

I probably went overboard on my change from OEM, but I did it myself in my garage with some beers, so I still came out ahead of going to Land Rover!
