Hey people any help with this would be greatly appreciated and may win you the Nobel Peace Prize!
I have a 2004 Freelander with the KV6 (2.5). I have re-built the engine about 4,000 miles back (116,000 total), up to and including re-looming all of the engine wiring and vacuum lines since that all had turned crispy over the years. I also, Replaced all the injectors and plugs/coil packs, camshaft and crank sensor. Have good strong compression @165 LBS or 18:1 copression and zero body damage.
Now, I've got a rough cylinder No.6. and a checklight. replaced the plug/coilpack and injector and again. Compression same on all cylinders. No change on the misfire.
I need somebody other than the idiots at the dealership, to flash my ECM for me as possible cure to many LR issues it seems. ...and remove the immobilizer!
Went to the stealer-ship, I left it there for 3 days ...! Ignoring the fact that I had just driven in to them 80 miles away. Yep, they told me the tech found some code that supposedly ment the engine was shot and was now toast. Just be glad you don't live near Seattle! So they stopped working on it. (never really got started) They didn't do anything on my work order like: I was having some no-start immobilization issues, so flashing my computer, or make me another chip key at least, or check my inter-axle oil level... Nada
Discusted with the LandRover, Jaguar snobby attitude. I drove it back home and the Rover just sits now... (I can buy 3 Ford or 2 chevys for the price of 1 Land Rover anyway).
So, now I have a nice lawn ornament and drive my Fords and Chevy instead... R/Stewmeat
