When mine were fitted, they placed the weights on the inside of the rims, specifically to avoid the calipers. This seems to be the best way of balancing these wheels to avoid caliper clearance issues.

In fact as soon as Dean at AJS (who fitted them) saw the Compos as they were unboxed, he referred to them as "paint strippers" on account of them tending to strip the paint off the rims when they get muddy/gritty between the calipers and the wheel.

Whoa @Perseus!
Are those the fronts or rears? My rears maybe have that much clearance, but the fronts definitely do not. Feels like card stock would almost get stuck there let alone the weights.

Picture is of the front right wheel and yes those are black painted wheel weights :)

One question that I always had before I dove into the LR4 wheel options was COST. No one seems to like talking about $$, so I will.

Here's roughly what it should cost to put Compomotives & Duratracs onto your LR4.

USD @ 0 sales tax
This should be a reasonable ballpark for your project. Add % for taxes you may owe.

275/65R18 Goodyear Duratrac

$263.75 each tire, mount & balance

(MSRP $270 + mount + balance, I asked for and got a nice discount)
(Goodyear also offers road hazard warranty for $25/tire not included here, tracked via serial # on each tire)

$397.46 - each wheel to my house, including duty, shipping, etc.

Total
$661.21 USD per wheel & tire, excluding options.

Options:

TPMS
$48.95 each sensor via eBay LR factory part

Center Caps & Valve Stem covers
$4.25 each wheel via eBay (aftermarket)

LUGS
$15.50 each wheel (5 black nuts, aftermarket)

Finally switching my comp wheels to all terrains. I have general grabbers now and hated them.

My question is what does it take to get the 265/65/18 spare to fit?

Deflate it and stuff it up there.

Cary an air compressor on the vehicle in the wasted space behind the 2nd row seats and under the third row seats.

I recently bought the following inflator, works great for quickly bringing the levels up to specs.
