I am planning a new build and am working on details. I want nothing to seem an afterthought.
My issue now is the AUX switch locations (Lights, winch, power ports...)

Has anyone figured out a good location for rocker switches (lights, winch...) in the LR4. I was going to use the "cubby" opposite the parking brake switch but I cannot get a clean look. I know the Overland Expedition guys fitted three of them, but I cannot seem to find a good picture. I am assuming they also modified the center console.

I was also considering the trim panel on the side of the instrument cluster, but maybe I can get three there, I may need more.

I am also planning a 2 panel in the back of the vehicle for work lights, fridge, and AUX power.

Any ideas?

I have my laser jammer on-off switch just above the headlight switch, next to the thumbwheel. (The thumbwheel that controls the airflow through the big round vent above it) That panel just pulls off and you should have space on either side of the thumbwheel.

Paul, I know the location.
I have looked into it a bit more.
I am thinking of converting the upper glove box, into a command center of sorts.
Communications, power, and vehicle control.

I also found this amazing device.
Pricey but what an awesome concept.
Could use a phone or the switch panel to control everything.

Also this too if you do not want the BT communication

Installing or mounting the switch is a work in progress. I've narrowed down the location. It will be vertically mounted on the dash btw left of the steering column and right of the fog switches. Wiring harness is fed thru bulkhead and up adjacent to obII outlet then up behind the lower cover that sits beneath the steering. I am hesitant to drill into the dash material. I've tried velcro tape, but it doesn't stick to the textured surface of the dash material. I may resort to epoxy glue. I will send a pic once I've ironed out this last detail.

Hi...i am a new user here. This is a great question! Are there any buttons/switches that would blend in well in that panel with the stock switches? Or is the main reason most don't do this is because it's harder to work with the wiring down there?
I'm about to hook up my KC rallylights and don't have a need for an SPOD for the foreseeable future...just need to connect one switch.

I recently picked up some "Heavy Duty" mounting tape, it has red backing on it. Got it at lowes. It actually sticks things to that odd soft touch trim type material. I mounted a radar detector remote switch in my G35. The regular double side mount tape is pretty pathetic and I have tried the velcro stuff also... worthless.

I ended up using epoxy glue suitable for plastic/metal
