and into a 2017 ZR2 Colorado with the 2.8 Duramax. Just a better fit for what I'm going to be using the vehicle for these days. Trade plus cash ought to leave me with a nice chunk to build out the new rig.

As such, I will have a set of 5 Compomotive's with 265/60/18 Duratrac rubber for sale probably in early June. Tires have about 10,000 miles on em now and look brand new. Wearing exceptionally well.

That's too bad. Such a short run. I thought about the Colorado and Tacoma TRD pro before deciding on the landy.

Didn't you have a number of Prospeed bits? I remember you had the sliders, but did you also have the rack and ladder?

If you're thinking of selling any of those, I would be interested. I couldn't live that far from you.

I really like the look and the concept of the ZR2 Colorado, but fck me! $41k base price on a mid-sized pickup? That's just insane.

Fyi, I sold my LR4 for a truck as well, test drove the Colorado Duramax but was not impressed. For the money a full size truck is superior in towing and power, I also looked at Toyotas but higher price and less features is hard to justify. I opted for a Ford truck, more options and better 4wd then Chevy or Toyotas. Of course nothing is as good as the Land Rover off-road.

Yeah, i'll never go back to a truck, especially a mid-size and especially in a snowy area. Keep that rear end packed with weight. Trucks are squirrelly buggers in wet/snow.

Yes we don't get much snow in AZ but my last trip out in mud was not fun, I really wanted the Chevy Colorado for it's size and towing @ 8klbs but couldn't get past the insanely slow speed, I told the dealer it was embarrassing to step on the pedal and get beat by almost every vehicle on the market. Going from LR4 to Colorado is definitely a step in the wrong direction IMO, V6 on the other hand may be a different animal and cheaper.

We actually traded our 2016 Colorado for our LR4 because we couldn't get the truck to carry boards, bags, the dog, etc. we had grabbed the Colorado as our tow/adventure rig and it failed at the adventure part where our LR4 has been awesome. For the towing piece we added the curt class 3 to our LR 4 and tow a 7300lb (gross) 25' airstream with WD. Have had no problems and don't miss the Colorado for more than the occasional second when I see a slightly modded one like mine drive by - chevy did a great job with the truck but it's definitely not a Rover.

So...slight change of plans.

After learning that diesel ZR2's won't be built until June and that my local dealers allocations wouldn't allow them to even order until May, I bought a 2013 land Cruiser. If all goes according to plan I'll be back here with it by Sunday and will be selling the LR4 next week.

So...the Compos will be available much sooner. I have a set of 5 on the truck mounted with Duratrac's (including tpms) and one extra brand new wheel that I'll throw in free. It just arrived last week as a warranty replacement for the drivers rear due to the paint flaking off. Haven't had a chance to swap it out yet so the you can do as you please that way. Would prefer local but will ship so long as you pay the freight.

Call it $2000 plus shipping?

@backcountryLR4 if you have a set of the OEM side steps and are local I might be willing to work something out for the sliders.
