So my 07' LR3 HSE started unlocking the doors while driving and displaying this on the radio screen. I decided to replace the battery since it was 5 years old and when tested it was weak. I also replaced the brake light switch. Thought the problem was solved because it was fine for a few days and then while driving today it did the same thing. Any suggestions?

A few previous posts and this one have mentioned that there was a loose connection between the instrument cluster (ipac?) and the vehicle wiring loom behind the dash. It's worth a shot to remove the instrument cluster and the cables, then re-seat all of them. Failing that, replacement of the instrument cluster is the next step and is what fixed the problem for those two posts.

Thanks I'll try that. Also today when I went to start it after driving it the doors started locking and unlocking as soon as I put the key in. When I tried to start it nothing happened. It was like a low battery but none of the lights dimmed or went out. It was like the ignition switch was dead. I removed the key and tried starting it several times and after about 3-4 times of doing this it started right up. Also are clusters from all LR3's the same?

Yes, I believe all LR3 clusters are identical. There are a few on Ebay for about ~$150. which is certainly cheaper than new parts and not much more than a tow and initial diagnosis at a local indy shop.

I was told from a LR parts dealer that the 07' instrument clusters can't be reprogramed and a new one is required. Is this true?

Consider their advice to buy new with a large boulder of salt considering that they make more marking up a new cluster than programming your used parts. the second post I linked bought one used and had the techs sync it several times, i guess they mean programming it. either way, the used part will swap in just fine and can be made to work. You might need to find a good independent mechanic to get it done. Where are you located?

Located in Wyoming. Are the 05-06' clusters the same as the 07'+ clusters?

LR added a digital clock to the cluster in 07 that was not present in 05-06. I am not sure if that was just a software upgrade or if there was a physical change to the cluster component. 07 did represent a wealth of cumulative "upgrades" from things learned from the 05-06 years, so there could very well be some wiring changes.

Update: I purchased a used cluster from eBay. It was a 05'-06' cluster even though mine is a 07'. I purchased the fast lane service from GAP and installed the cluster using my IIDTool without any problems. The only thing is you need to purchase a cluster with lower mileage than your current one as they can only increase the mileage and not lower it when flashing the cluster. It's been installed about a week now and it seems to have solved my problems. I'll report back if anything changes.
