Very nice! Do these offer underbody protection like the tactical rover ones? I like the look of these.

No. They are most similar to the Voyagers. Better than Prospeed, but do not connect to the frame like the Tactical or Proud Rhino sliders. The benefit is that they don't weigh as much.

Anyone have a picture of the Tactical Rover sliders with the zinc metalizing and no powder coat?

I have to say I'm really disappointed they aren't offering any other finishes. I would have ordered a year ago but the questions with finishing and the lack of information on what the current product looks like has me holding back.

I had Eric send me the sliders metalized and then powder coated them at a local place, it was $60 for me to have the both coated locally... you also don't have to worry about freight messing up the finish.

BTW... Zincnation can coat them with either zinc OR aluminum... You want zinc for paint... aluminum for powder coat (though I bet paint will stick ok too). I think his default is the aluminum, but specify what you plan to do with them when you order.

Eric is expanding his shop to add powder coating as an in-house coating option, but I HIGHLY recommend the Aluminum/Metalized coating. It will save them from rusting.

Here is a shot of the sliders in Black textured powder coat. I didn't get a shot of just the metailizing.. but ill add a picture of the bumper/skid shipment that had the same coating.. its white and rough, like 200 grit or so.

No offense meant but from who / where did you learn this idea?

Industrial grade powdercoatig has been used on equal grade zinc galvanizing for many years with great success. Your statement is misleading at best.

$60 for two sliders sounds oddly cheap...as in "getting what you pay for". I'd inquire about their process and compare to industry leaders.

I heard about the coating preference from someone at zincnation. I called them. I may be missing some aspects, sure, but that is what I was told.

The powder coating was done by a local shop (Premier Powder coating in Dubuque, IA) that seems to mostly handle industrial jobs. They can coat full sized fire truck frames (the did one recently). They have a pretty high quality process. They also run two shifts per day and seem to be very high volume. They received my pallet full of bumper and skids at like 2pm and I picked it all up finished the next morning at 9am!

Note, they did not have to prep my sliders or other T44 gear other than the standard wipe down. They didnt have to media blast them since they had already been prepped and coated at zincnation.

It does seem really cheap, and it was just a single coat. Seems thick enough though. The quality is actually amazing.

I just installed a set of Proud Rhino sliders on my 2014 and while I like the sliders and the coverage the bolt holes don't line up. The body mount bolts went in fine however I was only able to get 2 of the 6 underside bolts in. Anyone else see this type of issue with sliders? Any advice for getting the others bolt holes to line up?

How many inches do the terrafirma sliders stick out? Do they allow you to put your foot on the tree bar to help with getting in?
