So I'm a new LR3 owner, 2005 SE, and looking to get a obd diagnostic tool. The one everyone seems to talk about only works with iPhones, I have android. I saw the iLand tool at AB works on android and wanted to see if anyone had good or bad to say about them before I push the buy it now button.

Thanks,
Jeff

The GAP IIDTool works well for me with Android. I didn't see on the iLAND page that their tool specifically can re-calibrate suspension heights, which was a requirement for me.

With either tool, if you need a spare key the device almost pays for itself versus the dealer.

I would highly suggest the 4Dcan Software, it monitors everything on the vehicle as well as the ability to adjust each individual wheel hiegth sensor and re-calibrate it....I picked up a few weeks ago, it installs on a laptop and with a blue tooth OBDII device you can access everything on the vehicle, it is really amazing. I have a nanocom and have had great luck with it, support is good and it does everything from factory functions to key reprogramming. I guess all of them have good points and bad, the nanocom is a stand alone so I just keep it in the truck and it's there if I need it.

I have the Black Box Nanocom Evolution unit which was probably the first unit of it type re the D3/LR3 with the ability to adjust suspension plus modify the software and firmware.

The other now very common unit that can do pretty much everything the Nanocom does is the GAP IID unit.

It is probably easier to use than the Nanocom and for USA 3's, probably the better choice as most if its software applies to the petrol NA spec vehicles. Also they have a Bluetooth version that makes operation very 2017.

Either unit is good if you want to do more than just adjust suspension heights.

I have an iLand, so far I'm underwhelmed, but I've only used it for a few hours.

For example, I now have a battery warning on my dash (battery is brand new)

The iLand doesn't pull a code. My $10 OBD reader would, so I'm not sure if I'm using it incorrectly or what the deal is.

I'll followup later.

Here is a review/demo of the iLand. I like it, fairly simple and has proven invaluable for me.

Surprisingly (at least to me), iLand only provides descriptions, not the actual codes -- I expected that a $400 OBD scanner would be able to do what a $16 (sixteen!) scanner can do....m

I'm new here, and in the market to purchase an L322, of course I'd like a tool to help to evaluate potential trucks, and one which I can use for ongoing maintenance. I'm specifically looking for 06-12's model years for that run.

Does anyone else use the 4Dcan Software, thoughts or recommendations? Thanks
