Have tapping noise wonder if many superchargers go out at 45000 miles and if valve train issues are common with this model year of 2012

So my wife's 12' supercharged RRS is making a slight knocking/rattle sound that seems to be coming from the front of the engine. It doesn't have that exhaust leak ticking noise but more of a rattle/knocking sound.

The only issues I know of with the Supercharged Rangies are with the V8's.

Sadly V8 and Supercharged. I think your engine is about to pass over to the other side. Known issue of the V8 Supercharged engines is the bottom end literally comes apart.

So I pulled the supercharger belt and started the car and the rattle was gone however there was a ticking sound but maybe that was just the supercharger moving from the intake air moving through it. Will it be okay to drive until we get a replacement part? I found this on eBay http://www.ebay.com/itm/Rebuilt-Ran...e=STRK:MEBIDX:IT&_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649
Here's a video of the noise with the belt removed.

I don't want to guess based on a video. I would recommend taking it to a Rover Mechanic.

Our '12 had issues just over 60k miles. The tapping noise was getting progressively louder. Repair estimate was about $5,000. Hated to part with her, but traded it in on a Suburban rather than repairing and also picked up a "last of the legendary LR4s" prior to the new DiscoExplorer release.
