Hey everyone! I am completely new here (Except my continuous stalking of posts to help me fix my rig) I have 2006 v6 LR3. I had a couple of issues with it. First I was driving and while I was idling at a red light it shut off then I coul just restart it. It did that a coule of times. Then a couple of weeks ago I was driving at about 45 MPH and the engine lost all power like it wasn't getting any fuel. Awesome fuel pump issues.... So I check the relay and it was fine. test to try to hear the pump. Nothing. So I am excited, all I have to do is switch out the pump. I scour the internet and found one for 97 dollars delivered to my door next day. I drop the gas tank replace the fuel pump.. Super easy. Now time to test. I hear the pump hum now. Woohoo it should start now right? Nope. I test the valve to make sure fuel is getting to the engine. It is. So now this leads me to believe I am not getting fire. So I decide to test the spark plug wires and coil packs.

I believe the v6 engine is set up passengers side 123 and driver's 456 so in that set up I get spark from coils 1 4 and 6 but nothing from the other 3. So I assume its the ignition coil. I get 3 new ignition coilds and replace them and still no spark.... At this point I am really frustrated and hope I didn't just waste 140 bucks on 3 ignition coils and a pack of spark plug wires. I forgot to mention when it died originally it the codes it threw at me were- Ignition coil A, secondary – circuit malfunction, Ignition coil E, secondary – circuit malfunction, Ignition coil F, secondary – circuit malfunction. We cleared the codes to see if it would give us the same ones but nothing. It also threw fuel pump originally. At this point, I am thinking either my ECM has gone bad or one of those pesky sensors is going bad. What do you guys thing? Could it just be a fuse or relay? One of the many psky sensors? Or my ECM?

Update 1: I put the tank back up, I could hear the pump running but I lost fuel to the engine. Then I lowered the vehicle and I no longer hear the pump running. When I get off work today I am going to drop the pump just a bit to see if everything works again.

Update 2: So now here are some new updates. Not getting spark (Can't start with start fluid) I dropped the tank and get minimal fuel pressure. just bubbles out of the schrader valve. But I can hear the pump working and priming. I am really at my wits end... So I am thinking it is one of the many sensors that is causing this. WHat do you guys think? Looking for some help soon cause I have a new baby on the way and have to move all before the end of the month I can't keep wasting time by just changing out parts.

I would check the common earth wires - each bank has its own earth to the coils, that is all coils in one bank go to the same earth point and the other bank go to a different earth point.
