Ha. Maybe. I might want some sliders before I do that, though.

This looks like a good place to jump in and ask about LR4 caliper sizes with regards to 18" wheels. I'm researching LR4s for future purchase consideration (my wife and I have a 2006 FFRR that we love, but like the LR4s, too). I've seen several references in this 5 year old thread that 18" wheels won't fit the LR4. Is this 100% true? Our Range Rover came with 20" wheels and we sold them locally and bought a set of 5 LR3 18" wheels and have been running those with 265/65/R18 Cooper Discoverer A/T3 tires (LOVE THEM) for almost 45,000 miles of pavement, sand, and forest road driving. Yes, it's a close fit for the inside of the wheel to the caliper, and there's about a 1.5mm offset difference between the LR3 wheels and the original 20" Rangie wheels, BUT they clearly DO work, and allow for an amazingly comfortable ride, and more airing down "room" for sand dunes and trails with less concern of rim dings. So, has anyone given an 18" wheel a shot (LR3 wheels or otherwise) on the LR4? Are the LR4 calipers bigger than my 4.4 (non-supercharged, so no Brembos on ours) Range Rover calipers?

How do they look? Any pics?

I just had installed 255/55/19 on mine yesterday. I am new to Land Rover’s and did a lot of reading on this site. Had to figure out if I really need 18’ wheels. For now I stuck with my 19’s. Here is a picture in case you are still curious. [edit: I just realized this is in the LR4 section. I have an 06 LR3. Sorry to all for posting in the wrong area!]

Any further snow/winter performance on the Zeons for those that have. Yes we all know a dedicated snow is better.

I’m torn on tires and in New England, this one is on my list

Consider these - much better for your snowy and cold-road environs - there's a 255/60/R19 size with an O.D. of just over 31" that would be just slightly larger than stock, but give you SUPERIOR winter performance over the Zeons.

There are a few options for 18" wheels, which have been discussed elsewhere on this forum.

One is Compomotive wheels, which run about $345 each plus shipping.

The other is to find 18" wheels from an LR3 and run them with 1.25" wheel spacers. Alternatively, you can run them with no spacer if you take a grinder to your LR4's brake calipers and grind off the offending fins. I've only seen one person post about doing the latter.

Lucky 8 also sells 18" steel wheels, but I believe those require a spacer the same as the LR3 wheels do.

Love your tyres!

I installed the same Coopers in my LR4 because the contis got destroyed on the sand dunes (Dubai). I mean chunks of rubber fell off them.

This tyres are very strong, I deflate to 14psi on the dessert and they seem to be holding very nicely after almost 1 year and >20,000km. No bubbles, no visible damage to the walls, good stuff.

What do you think about the noise? I read so many times "they are so silent"... that is BS, my tires are loud, I can hear them all the time, more at 120-140km/h highway speeds. Its annoying.

Im using the 36-41psi pressure from the door. I wonder if i should try some other pressure to mitigate the sound. Maybe I should start a thread.

Other thing is that my LR Dealer hates them. They give me a full page of "OFF-ROAD TYRES NOT RECOMMENDED". They claim that the vibration from the tyres will affect the air suspension... sensors and such.

Took this pics just now after going to the dunes.
